Open Doors is a not-for-profit social services agency that has been serving Harford County and its surrounding areas since 1979. Monetary donations in any amount make a substantial difference in helping us assist the many members of our community that are seeking self-sufficiency. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Our Mission is to empower individuals in need of life and employment skills by providing opportunities, resources, and inspiration to encourage them to discover the keys to their success.   

The vision of Open Doors is that we provide a haven in which individuals who need life and employment skills can find their dreams.  Every aspect of our work is guided by our core values of dignity, respect, integrity, trust and equality.  Because of these values and our team approach to delivering solutions, we are seen as the ideal community partner and top resource for individuals, community groups, other agencies and businesses.  Our passion and expertise help us to create a stronger community one person at a time.

Open Doors accomplishes its mission by providing the following services:

  •      Support Groups for Life Transitions

  •      Job Development and Job Placement

  •      Workshops for Learning & Earning

  •      Services to the local business community to assist them in gaining and maintaining quality employees.

    Open Doors also provides additional Community Services.
